The view from the end of the Avalon fishing pier looking back
toward shore. There were 66 people fishing in the VIP group this
year. The fishing began at 10am in 17 mph winds, but it was still a
lot of fun and the largest fish on Avalon caught was a puppy drum 3.8lbs.

Even though some caught smaller fish - they were really very
excited to get them. It isn't the size but the fun doing it that made
them all so happy.

I had to throw this in. This was not a VIP person, just a lucky
angler working a bottom rig and fishing for drum on Avalon pier. This
one is 43 inches long and was too big to keep so it went right back
in after this picture was taken.
